Implementation of the clouds computing in education and creation of the virtual computer research and training laboratory for universities

Were developed the software and technical basis of the virtual computer lab (VL) based on cloud technology. The main difference from the cloud services offered by the Internet in recent years - the advanced features for users with the ability to use interactive physical laboratory tools from both the server and client-side depth management of virtual machines and infrastructures.

Conducted technical analysis software for creating virtual research laboratory research university, which also can be used as a scientific tool and as a training for students and researchers.
Were developed a few basic architectures of various power level of functionality and reliability. Were analyzed the structures with high reliability performance and reliable methods of access over the network.
Showed a way to create VL with possibility of migrating user’s VMs. Showed the possibility and technology for migration of virtual machines in the outside rented clouds. Recommended the economic criteria of connection to external clouds resources.

One of the major problems of cloud services and virtual laboratories also - a reliable network access. Cloud technologies specifically developed massively in recent years, put new challenges to network. If the problem is lack of communication within a few minutes compensated for by buffering application layer, forming critical sections interaction and repetition lost actions, the introduction of interactive communication and online interaction with objects requires a significant reduction in the duration of dropouts theoretically to outage of several transport layer packets.

Show evolution directions of computer networks in ensuring the reliability and continuity of user connections cloud services, including the introduction of SND functions (software defined network) in network.
In the research proposed list management functions of the hypervisor virtual platforms that are needed for a fully functional and effective VL, many of this function don’t offer cloud services providers and is not implemented in the software-cloud services and allow users to freely use VL, starting with the launch of the stopped VM and ending with connection technical means to the VL over local computer that would be available from the virtual environment.

The analysis showed that the existing system of functions and parent hypervisor OS is often not an object - oriented, and therefore will provide access regulation at the facility object owner. Part of OS and hypervisor features are only available to system administrators. This requires upgrading of basic software for the complete object reference. It is shown how the possible modernization which functions and the extent to which restrictions should be available to the user with information security saving.

Is developed pilot model the VL based on KVM virtual platforms and NEBULA cloud services management system. Used software is distributed freely, subject to the strategy adopted in the system of science and education in Ukraine. The pilot system is implemented in the network for science and education of Ukraine URAN in the data center and offers services to universities.
