Methods to build platform-independent parallel computer-aided circuit design systems with Internet-access

The ways to develop distributed systems on a base of the service-oriented architecture is considered now as perspective ones due to some reasons. The main advantage of a SOA is that such architecture allows producing loosely coupled programs. Also a SOA is based on well-prescribed standards. The key term of the SOA is a service. Their usage makes developers’ work easier and speed it up since it allows not starting work from the beginning but creating new programs using already existing services.

The NetALLTED complex architecture suggested that makes usage of web-services (on a base of SOAP, WSDL and UDDI set) allows taking advantages of the modern web-technologies for fulfillment of a sever part at the stage of solving tasks of computational resources search, intermediate data keeping, providing long-term calculations and so on. The structure and the functional possibilities of the complex’s systems are directed to the forming of „design routes” allowing reproducing designing process as a set of interacting web-services and allowing a user to select best ways to solve a task.

The features of using web-services for a similar designing system reveal themselves in the fact that the specified action sequence is possible only under the condition of the previous steps execution, for instance, the investigation task forming has mostly no sense if there is no investigation object description fulfilled etc.

According to the results of the analysis of existing web-service supporting systems based on their own architectural decisions, description languages, graphical editors and so on, the approach has been suggested which uses existing tools and web-standards maximally. The analysis of a functional composition and a structure of the NetALLTED interdisciplinary designing complex has been fulfilled from the platform-independent circuit design system creating point of view. Special functional web-services to access the NetALLTED complex have been developed, which have an alternative realization allowing a user to select most suitable method to solve a separate task or to compose an alternative design route comparing investigation results. A graphic-user interface is realized as a web-interface accessible from any workplace equipped by a web-browser and connected to the Internet. A user is provided with the route graphic editor allowing building routes out of the registered components; the composition of the route components’ library could be easily widen including third-part developers’ services.
