Fundamental regularities in the synthesis of multifunctional water treatment reagents by chemical activation of alumina waste

A new theory of targeted activation of waste ("red muds") of alumina production has been created, and multifunctional water treatment reagents with a specified structure and clearly defined coagulation, sorption and biosorption properties have been obtained in the processes of removing inorganic and organic substances of various types and origin (heavy metals, dyes, active substances) from contaminated water.

Fundamental principles of the new creation methods for the synthesis of nanocomposites and nanostructured materials with specified functional properties (Comprehensive Project)

A new fundamental scientific concept of purposeful synthesis of metal oxides and nanocomposites «metal oxide/multiwalled carbon nanotubes» structure with controlled and predetermined properties, which may be used as photocatalysts and electrocatalysts, energy conversion devices is created. Conceptual bases of alternative methods (high-temperature electrochemical synthesis and recovery metallothermal) direct synthesis of nanostructured silicides metals VI-B group are proposed.

Investigation of the mechanisms of bioleaching minerals extractant can use their patterns for selective removal of target chemical elements. The estimation of possibility of organic acids to the reactions of lixiviating was executed after classic thermodynamics parameters – the change of energy of Gibbs (∆G0f), enthalpy of formation of reaction products (∆H0f), entropy of reaction (∆S0f), energy of activating of lixiviating process (Er), constant of equilibrium of reaction (Kr) and energy of crystalline grate of having a special purpose mineral (Ucryst).
