Technology and equipment for thermal distillation of liquid waste in closed life support systems

A new technology for obtaining clean water from liquid waste in closed life support systems and equipment for its implementation has been developed. The main elements of the system are the original centrifugal distiller (CD), which ensures the efficiency of the system at arbitrary orientation of gravity, as well as weightlessness, with intensified heat and mass transfer processes and thermoelectric heat pump, which reduces the specific energy consumption of the system.

Hydrodynamics and heatmass trasfer in the contact heat utilizator of gas-droplet type

Scientific work is devoted to experimental research, aimed at improving the efficiency of contact heat and mass transfer units by increasing the interfacial surface of heat and mass transfer during the liquid spraying by centrifugal nozzles, implementation of which results in significant savings of material and energy resources.

The design of the 2-axis Sun angular coordinates determination device based on the
monocrystalline silicon and on the nanostructured silicon films have been developed.
Calculations of the design parameters of the sensors are given taking into account the linearization of the output characteristic based on the factors of the incident power loss with the incidence light angle increasing and the incidence angle dependence of the light spot displacement.
