Development of tools for building complex multicomponent models
A toolkit for building multi-component models of complex evaluation of sustainable development was created. Tools developed as part of the intellectual system of data processing of World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development and interacts with other components of information analytical system of World Data Center. User interface based on thin client that provides an interactive graphical tool for constructing models and visualization of distributed multidisciplinary information and providing tools for its analysis was implemented.
Unified process of building models was organized by creating a syntax meta descriptions of corresponding models. This allows us to create a set of templates that define the basic elements of the transformation models to the appropriate program codes. This approach provides independent simulation environment on the specific database management system used to store and output the resulting data, and languages of program code. The approach is based on using of templates allows to easily change the format and semantics of the output over a wide range, from software module to hypertext document HTML.
The developed software doesn’t depend on platform, runs on standard server operating systems and provides interaction with the database. The results of the project tested on example of a model for quantitative evaluation of sustainable development of the regions of Ukraine and its calculation, the test contained creation and visualization of the model, its description, the formation of necessary formulas for calculations and generate procedures for calculations and saving the results of calculations in the database.
